The Riandos are artists who are interested in making playful work with both head and heart. Work that makes people feel included, art for all. They believe in the empowering nature of art, creativity and comedy in this mad world.

They are not afraid of silliness. They believe there is beauty and freedom in the doing of things just for the sake of it. Silliness is essential for mental health and they can be quite serious about it.

The Riandos love stories. They believe this is in no small part due to genetics coming from a long line of storytelling alcoholics, including their Irish Grandfather who they would enjoy listening to for hours as children. They believe that stories are very powerful and can help us make sense of the world around us. The stories that we tell ourselves have the power to create our own realities, histories and form the future. They can also have the power to destroy all these things.

The Riandos often work with exploring the re-telling and re-interpreting of stories.

Working with video, performance and whatever is to hand they explore themes of female identity, community, family, communication, cultural confusion and much more.
