When Jeremy Deller met the Riandos

We were very excited to go to the Tea with Jeremy Deller event at Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery this week. This is part of a series of events connected to the English Magic exhibition. It was a great talk, some interesting audience question handled very well by Deller. Bonnie one of the curators from the museum showed us some of the Hen Harriers from the collection, which was eye opening. 

Deller then spent time to meet everyone who wanted to, which was a really great thing to do. We enjoyed meeting him, and hope we didn't gush too much! 

We have also been volunteering at the exhibition like total groupies! It has been great to talk to everyone visiting the exhibition and give them some extra information, showing them some historic items including an William Morris original print block and we have also been helping people make there own print of 2 of the paintings in the show.

"insert celebrity" meets The Riandos

In there never ending quest to meet us two more celebrities have recently managed to tick us off their list. Possibly the two most famous women in the western world Madonna and Angelina Jolie caught up with us this week in order to wish our absent friend happy birthday on our behalf. Madonna was struggling to speak through her golden "grills" and kept describing everything as Cray-Cray which I was later informed meant crazy........which was sort of apt in many ways....Jolie on the other hand managed to keep it all together like the professional she is. I wonder if her next movie role is for a southern part as her accent did sometimes included a drawl similar to that found in the deep american south....you got to have a process I suppose.......
