"insert celebrity" meets The Riandos

In there never ending quest to meet us two more celebrities have recently managed to tick us off their list. Possibly the two most famous women in the western world Madonna and Angelina Jolie caught up with us this week in order to wish our absent friend happy birthday on our behalf. Madonna was struggling to speak through her golden "grills" and kept describing everything as Cray-Cray which I was later informed meant crazy........which was sort of apt in many ways....Jolie on the other hand managed to keep it all together like the professional she is. I wonder if her next movie role is for a southern part as her accent did sometimes included a drawl similar to that found in the deep american south....you got to have a process I suppose.......

There will be more coming from the Riandos over the coming months, we have both had a bit of a break to work on different side projects. The latest of which was a little bit of crafting at the Bristol Harbour Festival. x

Jenn :- Yes....(we've always been clowns).... You bought the make up!!
Fran:-The lengths we'll go to for people to like us are astounding.. I hope it works......

Jenn:- Im actually quite scared of clowns....
Fran:- Im quite scared of you!...

The Day We Met Uncle John

Never meet your heros.....I should have known not to expect too much of a twenty second obligatory signing but there's always that part of your brain that hopes beyond hope that your eyes meet, instantly recognize a kindred spirit and skip out the room together screaming SCREW ALL YOU OTHER LOSERS as is the beginning to all the strongest and most meaningful friendships.
THIS WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN particularly when you are part of the longest queue in the history of book signings and everyone before you is trying there best to impress at least a miniscule part of there personality onto an elderly gentleman a long way away from baltimore with the flu, smiling politely as the girl in the pink wig starts an impromptu audition for his next movie! " Just tell me who you want me to make it our to!?!"

Fran has a large pile of books from the UWE library that she has promised to get signed, John looks confused....the confusion seems contagious..."Would you like a photo?"....

We just met John Waters and it was weird...but the man is a legend...Lets all go home and watch female trouble with a bottle of wine!.......
